The Himalayas Beckon

On a recent trip (December 2017) to the Kumaon Himalayas, the air was crisp and cold thus giving perfect light for some really stunning views of the mountain ranges. These eye soothing photographs are from Binsar, Almora and Bhimtal. The drive was absolutely fantastic and most enjoyable with perfect road conditions. Traffic was sparse and driving a pleasure on the beautiful roads. I recommend a trip for anyone who is interested in paying homage to the mighty Himalayas.

The incredible view from the deck of TRH at Binsar
Sunset at Almora
Sunset View from Almora Town

Sunrise from Almora TRH window
Another sunrise view from Almora Town with Chaukhamba
My Homage to Godess Nanda Devi - from Binsar
Another telephoto shot from Binsar TRH
The clouds had come - but just then !!!
2 minutes later this is what I saw
Another minute later !
Literally the last rays ! What an incredible sight
Looking towards the setting sun - A Grey sunset !
Just minutes later walking through the jungle !

The next morning the Himalayas beckoned me to venture out of bed at 5.40 am to view the sunrise and I could not believe how majestic they are. It was freezing cold but worth it. Take a peek !

I must say the TRH management was spot on when they served Tea and Coffee to all of us on the deck at that time.

I envy the permanent residents of the Binsar National Park

I hope you have enjoyed the photos as much I did photographing them. Thanks for visiting this photo blog.
